ChatGPT 4o with Canvas. It’s a well kept secrets that most people don’t know about

Canvast is the ultimate secret weapon nobody’s using (except you of course, after this)

If you’ve been paying attention, you noticed OpenAI launching ChatGPT 4.0 with a little surprise package called Canvas.

But, judging by the fact that 99% of people are totally ignoring it, it’s the world’s best-kept secret. Yeah, because who doesn’t want an AI-powered Google Docs on a shitload of steroids?

Let me walk you through this lil Canvas gem so you can finally stop scrolling past Canvas and start crushing it with all that sweet productivity you’ve been dreaming of while doom-scrolling Twitter.

What Is canvas, and why should you care

Canvas is basically a fancy workspace that shows up when you select GPT-4.0 with Canvas from the menu. It’s kinda like Google Docs meets a chat with ChatGPT. Or GoogleLM without the neat Podcasting features (read I have tried Google’s AI-based NotebookLM for note-taking | LinkedIn+ read Google NotebookLM has a scary good AI podcast generation tool | LinkedIn).

But here’s where it gets good: you get to do some actual editing inside the response that ChatGPT gives you. No more playing the “can you please rewrite that entire thing” game every time you want to tweak a line. Finally, the future has arrived, and it lets you edit ChatGPT’s mistakes like the boss you are.

With Canvas, ChatGPT is handing you the first draft of your genius idea, and then you go in and sprinkle your own magic over it. Want to add bold text? Emojis? Headers? You can do it all, right there in the window. No more copy-pasting into a word processor like it’s 2012.

Canvas is your AI-powered playground.

How to access canvas (or, where’s the secret door?)

You can’t just wish for Canvas to appear, people.

It doesn’t work that way in the real world of the grups..

You’ve gotta select GPT-4.0 with Canvas from the dropdown menu, or it’s just gonna be you, ChatGPT, and zero fun.

Now, once selected, Canvas pops open like a magical word-processing portal where you can finally flex your creative muscles.

Why it is basically magic for writing

Before Canvas, if you wanted to ask ChatGPT to fix a single sentence you got a whole new mess every time. But now you can highlight a section, and Canvas suggests edits without making everything else crumble. Apparently ChatGPT learned not to burn down your entire document just because you asked for one little tweak.

Shorten/lengthen text with a slider… Check.

Adjust reading levels make your writing sound like a high schooler or a PhD candidate.

Add emojis to make it fun and relatable…. if by “fun” you mean overkill. (Pro tip: don’t use the automatic emoji button unless you want your page to look like a teenage group chat exploded).

Oh, and final polish….Yeah, it’ll fix grammar and make you sound smarter than you really are.

You’re welcome.

Canvas for Coding: Because Even AI Needs a Debugging Buddy

You thought Canvas was just for writing? Wrong. It’s got your back with code, too. Now, instead of the AI spitting out code riddled with errors, you can get it to tweak your code bit by bit. Want to add some debug logs? Convert your code into another language because you’re feeling adventurous? Fix those annoying bugs that AI put in the first place? Canvas has you covered.

No more rewriting entire chunks of code and crossing your fingers that the new version doesn’t explode. Fix what needs fixing, leave the rest alone, and move on with your life.

Why you’re probably ignoring canvas

And Why That’s Dumb

Apparently most people don’t even use Canvas. It pops up and people are like, “Nah, I’m good”…

I think that is a big mistake, peeps….huge.

Canvas is that one gigantunormous superpower you did not know you had, but now you know, you wish you had seen it earlier, because you are about to dominate.

When you work with Chad now, you are getting one boring answer from it, and then you are calling it a day, but now you can collaborate with it.

Yeah, I said collaborate, like you’re teaming up with it or something – I don’t know, you figure it out. You can tweak responses, you can co-create, and even overwrite the AI’s bland answers with your own brilliance.

When I played with it, it felt like a whiteboard that was using ChatGPT, except the marker doesn’t squeak, is non-permanent, and you don’t accidentally write over your best ideas.

And you don’t need to redraw everything from scratch…

But wait, what !? there i more? Canvas for academic papers

For all the research geeks out there (like moi), this thang could help out as well.

You know what it can do… it can create drafts of research papers with ChatGPT’s help, and then going in and editing specific parts without having to start over. You can keep refining your arguments, adding references, and adjusting formatting, all within the Canvas workspace.

Here’s another little nugget for you: Canvas even helps with structuring your academic papers.

Say you need to turn a messy draft into something your professor won’t laugh at… It adjusts your writing to suit a higher reading level, and slap on some proper headers..

But how Obi Wan? How?

Here’s how you get Canvas up and running in three easy steps:

1. Put your thinking cap on. It makes no sense if you have an IQ of a vacuum cleaner.

2. Select GPT-4.0 with Canvas from the top menu. (Don’t be the person who misses this step. Seriously.)

3. Watch in awe as the Canvas window opens. It’s basically Google Docs / LM but with a brain.

4. Start editing like you’re the boss of ChatGPT. Because you are.

And if you’re still unsure, just Google “Canvas ChatGPT” and find some tutorials.

Or just keep reading LinkedIn articles about it like the procrastinator you are.

Good luck trying not to use it now.
